Finding a New Year’s Eve party without any alcohol can be a challenge, to say the least. The 36th Annual New Year’s Eve Sobriety Powwow of the Native American Rehabilitation Association of the Northwest, Inc. is one of the largest sober New Year powwows in the nation.

This year, the event is taking place at the Wingspan Event & Conference Center, just a bit beyond the city but it’s definitely worth the drive. This powwow promises an unforgettable afternoon and night of drums, dance, and honoring traditions. The schedule is packed with excitement, from fun games to a special sobriety countdown at 9:30 p.m., leading to a joyous moment of welcoming 2024 at midnight.

For those concerned about the commute, NARA NW will provide a shuttle from the Hillsboro Max Station to Wingspan on the hour, starting at noon. This celebration of life and resilience is free and open to the public.
